Important Announcement about Log4j from Right Click Solutions Cyber Chip Dog!
February 9, 2022
Cyber Chip Dog here reporting on Log4j vulnerability!
Since Apache Software Foundation disclosed the LOG4j issue on December 9, they have issued several updates and patches to address the vulnerability.
The good news is that the US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) said it hasn’t seen any major breach arise from the attack so far.
It is still important to be proactive to minimize risks. Here are some ideas on how to be protected:
- Make sure that all your organization’s files, especially those containing sensitive information, are protected using resources like multifactor authentication and email security services regardless of if you store them on the cloud or an in-house server
- In addition to company files, make sure email accounts including contacts, calendars, and mail are backed up on a regular basis
- Consider subscribing to dark web monitoring services to ensure your login credentials have not been compromised
